This post is for the 10iq rats on my previous post that thought I was stupid enough to install a cpu, instantly upgrade bios, and think my performance increase was from the latter. Sure I worded it a little wrong, but nowhere did I say that's what I did.
So, I upgraded cpu to a 5800x3d about 3 weeks ago, obviously a great improvement. But I was doing some digging and realized my bios version was very outdated. So I updated it.
Previously, I would fluctuate between 110-140 fps, last night after the update I was fluctuating between 130-160 but sitting at a stable 130 and did not see it go below until I had played maby 4 raids. I did not change anything else.
Again, this will not help everyone. Most people probably already have their bios updated already, so you are already running the chip to its full potential. This is mainly for people who have had a motherboard for a couple years and recently got a new cpu.
Another thing is, this cannot be done with driver easy or programs alike. You must go to your motherboard manufacturer website and download it from there. (You will need a usb)
I know this will still get hate comments for some reason, and I truly don't know why, maby because I don't type like an English professor? Idk.
Also, iv seen people commenting saying that updating bios couldn't possibly give any performance updates. Just do some simple research before posting bullshit. Some cpu functions and bios options don't even exist unless you update it.
