I hear so many people say how brutal Valheim is. I agree its a challenge, but with preparation and planning its a fantastic, challenging game.
I wonder if people are going into the game without thinking about how to approach situations, especially new biomes which are very challenging to the newbie, but caution and prep, brings great rewards.
Read up on the biomes, and learn about the mobs and their behaviour.
Plan your entry,
Move cautiously, keeping your eyes open.
Always ensure escape routes are available and you know where they are relative to your position.
Ensure you are fully food buffed.
Avoid the night time until you are more powerful.
Learn special attacks and practice shield parries.
Keep your equipment in good condition.
Have spare equipment at home (Troll armour and a spare weapon at least)
For the fully prepared person, Valheim isn't brutal, its enjoyably challenging.
