Hello r/valheim
I'm a User Experience (UX) Researcher who is also a huge gamer.
For those who do not know what UX Researchers do, we systemically study users to collect and analyze data that will help inform the product design process.
I have been playing Valheim a great deal during the lockdown, and have found a great amount of peace and fun from the game!
However, it is clear that (like all products) Valheim has room for improvement!
To this end, I would like to use my talents to conduct a study on the current state of Valheim by evaluating user pain points within the game, identifying opportunities for improvement, and evaluating the user experience of Valheim as a whole!
I intend to do all of this by listening to your feedback.
I will begin with some basic discovery to evaluate what areas of the game need improvement most urgently.
After the study is completed, I will publish the results to this subreddit (along with my walkthrough of the results and my recommendations) and hope that it gets seen and can help the Valheim team improve their amazing game!
If you are at all interested in participating in this study, please consider filling out my survey at the link below:
https://6n6h6big8iy.typeform.com/to/zRqERqPS
All answers are confidential and will only be used for the purpose of the study.
For those who are interested in participating further, at the end of our survey you will be given the chance to opt-in (or out) to sit down for user interviews or usability evaluations.
I should also clarify that while I do have the approval of the mods to post this and run this study, I am not an official representative of Iron Gate and cannot guarantee an impact from my work.
See you in the halls of Valheim!
