Ukraine and the people of Ukraine have been instrumental in the success of Dota. Dendi, XBOCT, Mira, Yataro, Noone, Resolution and more. Thats not even including the impact V1lat, Starladder, WePlay, Navi, NoobfromUA etc have had on the Dota community. I can not even imagine what Dota would look like today if it wasn't for these people and organizations.
While all of those things are true, we and Valve haven't done anything. Riot made battlepass and crowd funded millions of dollars in humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Even Baumi, /r/dota2 favorite person to hate on, has raised thousands of dollars for Ukraine.
This is the city AlohaDance is from and potentially? still living in, Kharkiv.
It's just astounding that Riot is doing a lot more for Ukraine than Valve and that Baumi is somehow doing better than /r/dota2. Ukrainian Dota has just been so fundamental to Dotas success, its disappointing to see the lack of response.
