I recently bought the game on Steam sale for my partner and I, and we spent the weekend doing tutorials together (which, admittedly, were very challenging). Today was the first day they felt comfortable trying gameplay together, and we looked up that another player can Board another player's ship, so long as they are 1) in a Team, not a Crew (weirdly) and 2) in the same Station.

Well here we are at Braun Station in Gliese 868, and we're ready to take on our FIRST Settlement Raid! Excellent! We both board my ship, head towards the destination, and as we land, disembark, and begin dispensing justice upon the settlement occupiers, well what do you know but my partner takes a sharpshooter shot in the head.

They die, immediately, in less than 60 seconds. They forgot to turn their shield on. This is understandable, though!

What's not understandable is what happens next. They are still in Team with me, but they MUST Redeploy at their OWN ship, about 1200 Ls away. This despite me having 100 Medkits aboard my ship's inventory — there's NO gameplay loop for me to heal or help my comrades mid-firefight?! There's no way for them to deploy at the ship they boarded, just a few yards away?

I now need to fly all the way back to the station, pick them up again, find a mission (if we can, after the subsequent reputation loss: we BOTH failed the mission, despite me being on-scene and alive to continue/finish it), and then re-fly out there to re-attempt it.

This was SO unsatisfying after all the work to prepare and uncover this. It'd be SO much better if there was a way for me to Heal my partner, or drag them back to the ship/SRV to get healed.
