In one month, MO relicts is the very best aechetype in the meta and top of the ladder; in the next, it's so nerfed that it doesn't even appear in Team Leviathan's Tier 3 decks. Was the whole thing perhaps nerfed too hard?
The biggest problem with the package was always Mammuna, specially with Caranthir. I was expecting her to be made 12p and that her ability was turned into a Deploy or that a Deploy would give her Zeal (to balance Caranthir abuse), but instead they nerfed Caranthir entirely. Gerni also suffered a lot from that: with the hotfix in place, she was fine with Caranthir, but right now she is just a glorified Witch Apprentice (even creating two Thrive engines isn't enough to keep her competitive). Sealfeaters was also a bit too difficult to remove, but right now its almost the opposite, and he always loses points when splitting on an even number (also, just damaging him by 3 or 4 is enough to keep him from splitting, so you will keep losing points).
Overall, it seems they prefered to nerf everything about the archetype other than its most broken card. Mammuna is now an auto-include in almost every MO deck and relicts as an archetype is just meh. Right now even NG hyperthin can out-pointslam MO, which is just insane.
Here is what I would like to see in the future: Mammuna nerfed to 13p, Gerni brought back to 10p and Selfeaters not rounding down when splitting. This would make Relict decks good again (or at least would help you spawn more fruits for Gerni) while making Mammuna too expensive to be an auto-include.
But what do the rest of you think? Were the nerfs really too harsh or was it all deserved? Was it well executed or was it a bit half-baked?
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
