Was the PWA bug fixed recently?

This is a double post. Originally posted in a thread with a very similar topic, were the OP has been deleted, I'm not sure about its visibility. So here's a fresh one since I'm pretty sure that it will be of common interest. For miners at least, especially SSD miners.

I'm frequently SSD mining in tritium hotspots over the last few weeks, where so far it's always gone like this: The only SSD sources I could find have been those in asteroids that contain cores. Cores of all kinds possible in ice rings and for my taste far too much for a tritium hotspot, where cores should ideally be a very rare exception.

I'm currently mining in this tritium HS: Ouchonz FV-X c14-13 B 11 were I have not found a single core (as it should be!), but plenty of yellow and orange(!) PWA scans that pretty much behave as they would before the PWA went broken: no cores but lots of SS, SSD but also some good laser sources for tritium.

I really don't know what to make of it now. A long-standing PWA bug fixed practically overnight, without any announcement? How likely is that? On the other hand, should I really be so outrageously lucky as to have found an exceptionally rare hotspot that behaves markedly differently from all other tritium hotspots in the galaxy? But how likely would that be?

Since I'm practically moving my FC from hand to mouth, I'm very tempted to fill my pockets now and stay here for a while longer. On the other hand, I'm also too curious to find out what's really going on and whether the PWA has actually been fixed! The latter would of course be a most welcome (if totally unexpected) turbo for the way I move my FC.

I'm really torn now, but what exciting times!

All this is recorded but not published (yet). So, if anyone has doubts…

On a side note, I also found (for the first time) a limpet (with fragment) happily cruising through an asteroid. I think every miner has seen this with loose fragments, but also with limpets? That would be a pretty fun attempt at a hot-fix to prevent the loss of limpet drones trying to follow these stray fragments through the rock. I want to assume for now, though, that this really was a rare coincidence.

Needless to say, I still lost enough collector drones during this session, for reasons unknown (I think they still collide with the surface of rocks when they approach the limpets coming out a bit too ambitiously), but also because I was so excited that I often forgot my newfound observation about the last SSD rocket shot and how to prevent that. As you can read here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteMiners/comments/12wddj7/small_tip_for_ssd_mining_in_tritium_hotspots/

Nevertheless, SSD mining is so efficient, provided the sources are as easily accessible as they are here, that I still came home with a full cargo hold and full refinery.

If it really is true and remains stable, we can only hope that other SSD sources will now also work again. That would be extremely welcome news not only for SC owners. Good times ahead!
