I’ve been following this subreddit for awhile now and it’s a be if the best video game subreddit’s out there and that’s why I figured it was worth it to make this post at all.
I’ve been noticing a ton of new players coming here to post their progress or their build or just to share their excitement with finding this game. Many of them I’m sure are because of the launch on Xbox. But I have noticed a few posts recently where a new player is just sharing how much they love the game and people are making posts on how to perform exploits.
Everyone is allowed to play the game they want to and play it however they want, but I feel like it is very out of place and possibly game-ruining to tell new players the powers of dev commands/world hopping. I think every new player has the right to decide for themselves if they like or dislike sailing or the no metals through portals mechanics. If a new player wants to seek out this tips or exploits, they will find them easily enough. But until then, none of us experienced Vikings should be giving out that info in the comments of someone stoked as all hell to post they successfully raided a swamp and can’t wait to sail all their iron home.
I think it’s been just amazing seeing all these new players having the same insanely exciting play through of valheim and I hope everyone else on this subreddit is as well!
