Gun modding is a big part of this game, and with tarkov’s current recoil system, it’s kind of essential to mod for them to be viable.
I see plenty of complaints that current recoil is very exaggerated in comparison to IRL intermediate caliber guns, which I cannot attest to, but definetly believe.
Some attachments sure reduce recoil: A longer/heavier barrel, muzzle break, suppressors and you could make an argument for a ajustable stock and a foregrip.
But what purpose would different handguards serve? Maybe some ergo, but most players tend to min max their money spent, so it feels like people wouldn’t use any attachments except muzzle devices and longer barrels.
It feels like it would make tons of attachments pointless.
What do you guys think about it and how would you approach making recoil more realistic but keep the incentive to mod/spend money on guns?
