Just a hypothetical gameplay question I was thinking of the other day. What if gem of true sight showed you and your team which illusion was real? It could turn fakes into the tinted blue colour you see when you play the illusion hero yourself. Not because I think that PL or Naga, or illu heroes are OP, just as a bit of question to make the gem a little more valuable where I feel the item is mostly a worthless slot in the face of the bloated inventory meta, necro 3, zeus, sentries etc. In the context of this meta, the gem is an incredibly inefficient item and honestly a waste of a slot. Most teams draft at least one hero who builds necro naturally and this item provides insane value.
I'm aware this would probably raise the cost of gem, but maybe it should. Maybe it ought to be moved into more of a "genuine item" role? Maybe this can open up the idea of there being more "genuine support items" in the game. What kind of impact would this have on gameplay? What other possibilities are there here?
Or at the end of the day, is this a completely worthless thought experiment?
