So the only confirmed sightings of thargoids (as far as we know) have not been of the targoids themselves, but their machines. Be they skimmers, barnacles, ships, or whatever those larger structures are, crashed motherships perhaps. But we have never seen a thargoid in the flesh. If you were to try and guess what a human looks like only by looking at fighter jets, skyscrapers, oil rigs and roombas you probably wouldn’t guess correctly. Bearing all that in mind, we only know a few things for sure, they are “female” or at least the closest thing to it, they are insectoid, or we would at least compare them to insects, and they are ammonia based. What if they are very different than we imagine? What if they are gorgeous dragonfly or butterfly like creatures? What if they have glistening ethereal colorful wings and kaleidoscopic eyes? What if their chitinous bodies are shimmering silver-black like raven feathers, or smooth like blown glass? The only artist renderings i’ve seen show a very stereotypical crab, ant, cockroach inspired monstrous creatures. What if the galactic girls next door are the prettiest girls in class? Would that change the way humanity interacts with them? Maybe, we are very vain creatures. Would love to hear everybody’s thoughts on this.
