I understand it might be too early to advocate for great changes, as most of the community is still in denial of the truth that CDPR has forsaken Gwent and it will remain so in the forseeable future.
But when I hear they are giving us the tools to make balance changes, something came to me.
Remember how spyro was complaining how the game's balancing is ruining it?
Now it is within your hands to revert it!
You can make changes to rennovate powercrept old cards, eliminate outliers, and keep gold card point swings in check. Together, we can make the meta flourish, not with 1 powerful deck dominating a faction, but where all archetypes and playstyles can thrive.
With our combined effort, Gwent will once again become a card game with great depth, focusing on card interactions, position placing and resource management.
Of course, reworking old cards is beyong our capabilities. So before we part our ways and farewell, hopefully CDPR can rework some unused cards as soon as possible.
I hope the whole gwent commumity can join forces on this notion, because it takes more than one to evaluate, regulate and adjust the whole meta. We must study the balancing process from the devs, aquire sufficient tools and data to make the right call.
In the end, perhaps these efforts will not lead to a never ending journey. But if we're the ones to write the final chapter of a book, its best we make the story worth while.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
