Ok so I was thinking about this after my first successful tar farming and how tar was a crucial element of ship building/maintenance. Not saying the resources used to make a ship should change but what if you could use a few tears of moder (or something mid to late game) to build a ship editing station?

This would allow you to use resources from the plains and beyond to upgrade your ships!

Love the karve? Give it a durability upgrade, maybe a new sail.

Longship your baeship? Change the color of the sail, use flax thread to make a new sail so it handles better. Maybe make it more durable, or more storage for less speed.

I quite like the sailing element of the game and as others have posted would love to see a sailing skill or the addition of oars for multiplayer but think a crafting station for boats could help make them feel more personalized etc. It would also be cool to customize the prow of the ship with trophies you’ve collected.

Would love to hear y’all’s ideas about this (typing this as I play my sailing simulator atm)
