With the REDACTED seemingly around the corner and big updates coming, it feels appropriate to talk about some tweaks that can be made to the menus and UI to improve the experience of interacting with Tarkov outside of raids.
- The ability to go immediately back to your place in the list when leaving a craft/trader menu to open flea market
- eBay is like this. Search an item, open a listing, and then hit Back. You will be placed at the same place in the search results where you were before going to the listing.
- It'd be nice to be able to see what traders sell at levels 2-4 before hitting those levels (via the level tabs at the top of their menus)
- It may work well if the items at trader levels you haven't unlocked simply appear as if they are sold out (could probably be client side, no?)
- When in a trader's Sell tab, if you search an item on the flea to check pricing and then come back, items not being removed from the Sell inventory
- For instance:
- Place 4 cheeses in Therapist's sell menu – check whether GP Coin will be worth more on Flea – return – 4 cheeses STILL in Therapist's sell menu
- Being able to sell items to traders from inside containers without having to remove them from the container, then LEAVE the trader, then come back
- You can already do this on the Flea, and Fence will even sometimes buy certain items from inside my containers
- Combine the Modding menu functionality with the Presets menu
- Modding menu shows you only the attachments for each slot that you have available in your inventory, and the Presets menu shows all options. It would be nice to have some way to see in one place both the possible options and what i have available. Maybe this means highlighting the items with a green background if you have them in your inventory when selecting things in the Preset menus.
- This eliminates the need to even have the Modding menu as a context menu option, helping to clean up the context menu and maybe also remove some extra things that need QA testing before patches.
- Full loadout presets
- Cheese, CALOK, and army bandage in my pockets pwetty pwease
