A little long winded and typed on mobile so forgive me…
I have played this in the past for a few days here and there and despite really wanting to get into the game it never worked out for me because I wanted to be a combat pilot and would just struggle with the sidewinder and not have fun.
A couple weeks back I caught COVID and during my isolation decided to try it again except this time start with mining and exploration. Things finally clicked and within a couple days I found myself with a few ships: hauler, dbx, aspx and a chieftain. A few days after that I’ve added a keel back, krait phantom and now two krait mk2. I had a python but enjoyed the krait more and was flippin my load outs on it to do different things and ultimately decided to trade the python back in and get the second mk2 so I could run them with dedicated load outs.
Anyway, Now that I am back at work I get 1 or 2 hours a day to play if I’m lucky. Working on engineering and guardian tech but it’s slow. I took the Chieftain and built the best ax ship I could. Went off to the first system the anti xeno site listed needing help and did okayish against scouts. I’d have to dock every 5-6 kills to repair my hull. Kind of a pain but I felt like I was helping while the big boys and girls took care of the big goid ships.
I feel like fighting scouts is pretty boring compared to human NPCs in res sites but again, I’m helping defend the bubble!
Except now the war has been reset? I want to help but really, is there actually reason to? Lol
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
