I don’t understand why some players flame and just outright rage and new players. It’s such a turn off to the game and turns any new player immediately away. Imagine going and playing a game of footy for the first time and you miss a kick or pass and then your teammates just start berating you!

The latest example was my very last game. Unranked one of our players picks enigma and then someone asks is that pos3 or 4 to which enigma answers I don’t know? Either? So I ask are you new to the game and he says yes I’m only 2 weeks in.

So from the get go we know we have a new player so who cares win or loss, if he does something wrong you just encourage him and give him tips if you want to. I personally love to give tips and help new players.

5 minutes in and our centaur pos 3 just starts raging over his mic at enigma because he was taking some last hits. So i tell him to just be calm it’s an all pick game and he’s new so just cut him some slack and relax and have fun. The 2 stack of mid Rubick and offlane centaur then just go off and start abusing me because I have a cowboy hat on ursa and blah blah all the usual shit like why would u waste so much money, you are so shit etc.

I just don’t understand! Can’t we just be nice to everyone, especially new players! I want everyone to be able to play dota and get the enjoyment and absolute love that I get when playing this amazing game.

So if you are someone that flames need players please just quit dota! Or change your attitude. Not that this post means anything at all I just wanted to vent. Thanks.
