Currently, 4.0 horizons runs on the same engine as odyssey (it literally says elite dangerous: odyssey when you run it, and it says “odyssey executable” in the task manager), yet they are both still running on entirely seperate servers.

There are also odyssey quotes in 4.0 horizons like the “feel free to disembark “ quote when you land, even tho you can’t do that in horizons.

This issue is annoying because when I go to any axcz, 9 times out of 10 I am entirely alone in the instance( i tried that on both the axi PG and on open), and on the 1 time where I am not alone, there would be just one other person in the instance, that is it.

And of course I can’t just force people to switch to horizons to wing up with them just because I am the oddball that doesn’t have odyssey, that just would be annoying to them having to switch back and forth, and I totally respect that, I would find that annoying too.

I just don’t understand the reason behind the seperate servers even tho they are running the same engine, if you talk about different planet generation, well 4.0 horizons uses the odyssey generation system, so that is no longer an issue.

Sorry for the rant, I just want to know the reason.
