There's a huge chance that LTMs in Fortnite will be replaced with community made ones via the Creative 2.0 system. This would cause Epic to not focus on LTMs anymore. This also gives more time to focus on BR as well as STW.

We've gotten a "big" update every once in a while now maybe once per season since season 2 of chapter 3. Last time it was the new movement, before that was wildlife and last week they dropped a new weapon set for the first time since 2020.

If they eventually make STW accessible in Creative 2.0, the Community could technically make custom zones for the game as well as putting resources in specific places, setting up missions and randomizing where the missions will be, where the vans spawn, where bluglo spawns, what players get when they win, if wildlife spawns or not, how fast the storm is, etc. There could also be level and power based zones that you can only access if you reach that power so low players can't get legendary loot early game.

Players could have their own missions to play that they could submit. STW players would have constant content that Epic wouldn't have to lift a finger ever again for the game.

They could make custom weapon models, stats, etc.

Players could buy these creative weapons that Epic puts in the shop in new sections.

Players could make custom heroes with their own custom perks.

Make new class types too.

Players could make dungeons.

Players could make their own ventures.

It would take years if Epic ever added this support for STW but it could be beneficial for everyone in the long run.

The story would not continue sadly but it would give players the chance to make THEIR OWN ending.
