I just am genuinely curious. I’ll say right now I do understand it, in a way. I used to play rust, and usually when I went out to loot and scavenge I would pretty much bring nothing, so if I die I wouldn’t lose anything.

But in this game it’s VERY easy to find items. Once you know a few maps and their unground caches it’s really not hard at all to get kit. I’ve been finding so many players that go into raids with a pistol and no armour or any other kit… I understand they may also be doing quests, but even then you don’t really need to go in, naked.

This is my very first wipe ever, and when I quest, or do anything PMC related I bring AT LEAST

-lvl 4+ helmet
-lvl 4+ armour
-backpack
-headset
-and a decent weapon

When I raid with my friends (group of 4) we absolutely kit out. We bring the best of the best in our stashes because why not? I’m only lvl 28 and I’m doing just fine. We even saw another PMC one time and we let him go, he walked by with his knife out and was like “holy shit you guys are kitted” well? Why wouldn’t we?

The game wipes anyways anything you earn will be lost regardless. Just use what you have. If you run out of items, go scav and replenish what you’ve lost. It’s very very easy to make over a million roubles in 1 or 2 raids.
