Hello Gwent community. What's up with the hate on Yrden? Why do I never hear anything good about him? Initially I started using him because I got him out of a keg and didn't have Igni at the time but he's won me so many games that I can't even start counting. At this point he's an auto include in all of my decks and I never regretted having him. Knowing the matchup and the strategy of the opponent also helps me avoid bricking him so I can mulligan him away if he's not needed. The amount of points this card plays for is insane, at least 20 or so and usually can go up to 30-50 for just 11 prov. Here's a list of the most common decks i faced recently and his effect on them.

NG assimilate? Use him as a finisher and it's an easy 20-30+ points

Vamp fleders? Will reset at least just 1 fleder at worst if you couldn't prevent the fleder spam from the opponent and late game fleders are always 20+ points

NG kolgrim mill (i hate you)? At least 11 points of resetting kolgrim if not more

Monsters Kelly? Oh boy this is a big one cuz they line up everything behind the defender and stack some thick boosts in 1 row. Can play for 40+ if they have witch apprentice/the beast

Jackpot salamandra? Reset Roland for easy 30-50 point and KOB for another 10-20

Normal jackpot w/savolla finisher? Reset KOB for 10-20 and this doesn't even include sigi/ or their other engines that trigger at hoard 4 and hoard 9

ST handbuff? This is a massacre here, i genuinely feel bad for the opponent and even if you don't have last say, they usually have a lot of buffed units on r3 that you're guaranteed to get at least 20 points of value here.

SK Battle Trance alchemy? Reset at least 1 druid (those bonded dudes that go +2 each alchemy card) for at least 10 points, but usually plays for way more

I have faced other decks too and sometimes he's not as useful when I know the deck doesn't rely much on buffs but you get my point. So can someone enlighten me why is the card considered a joke in every video/stream i check?
