So first things first, the book that we see in Muerta’s reveal trailer is the Book of the Dead, and I actually explained why this is the case in this VIDEO.

But basically the main gist is that Muerta (who is obviously a ghost) essentially used the Book of the Dead to escape into the “Land of the Living”, which is the actually the reason behind her release as a Dota 2 hero. And further proof of this connection is that if you compare the Lore of the Book of the Dead, with Muerta’s Official Reveal Description they both mention about a “Reckoning”.

And in pretty sure this might very well be the same thing, because the word “Reckoning” – means something along the lines of –

“someone avenging or punishing others for their past mistakes or misdeeds”.

Which perfectly lines up because in Muerta's Reveal Trailer she does say this –

“I have suffered the atrocities of the living”.

All of this suggests that this “Reckoning” will come in the form of an In-game event along with Muerta’s release, where she will be exacting her revenge on the people who wronged her.

And since the Dark Moon Event replaced the New Bloom Event back in 2017, I think this Reckoning event will be sort of like the “New Bloom Event” of 2023. Because New Bloom events do take place within the first 3 months of a year, which perfectly lines up with Muerta’s expected release date in “Early 2023”. And since this time-frame also coincides with the end date of the ongoing TI11 Battlepass, I think it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that Muerta will be released along with the Reckoning Event on or after "Jan 12th 2023"

But anyways further proof of this “Reckoning” possibly being an in-game event that is tied to Muerta’s Lore comes from the fact that Muerta is a Veiled Sister Assassin just like Mortred & Spectre we have in-game. And if you look at their past we start to see a pattern. Because Mortred’s Arcana was released along with event that was tied to her lore called the “Nemesis Assassin Event”, while the Spectre’s Arcana was released in the Battlepass that came with the Nemestice Event, So as you can see both of the events that was connected to these 2 heroes had names using the word "Nemesis" in some way. And whats interesting is that “Reckoning” is actually a synonym for the word “Nemesis”. Which suggests that Muerta’s “Reckoning” is probably also another “Veiled Sister Assassin” event as well.

And since Mortred & Spectre both got their Arcanas along with their respective Events, I think it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that a Muerta’s Arcana might also get released along with Muerta’s Reckoning event. And this is entirely possible because heroes like Legion Commander, Monkey King, Terrorblade & Techies also got released into the game along with their Arcanas, so Muerta getting a Arcana upon her release is not that farfetched if you think about it…

On a final note, I also noticed that ever since Muerta’s Reveal Trailer was released there have been an significant increase of “leaks” about the rumored upcoming Valve game called Neon Prime which according to some apparently seem to have been co-created by IceFrog himself. So maybe they are connected? but since NOTHING IS CONFIRMED and is mostly just speculation, all of this might just be a coincidence…
