EDIT: I should clarify, my wife and I have not separated, nor are we disputing over this. She never asked to play Valheim. I gifted her the game and she gave it an honest try. I honestly didn't even register the implication of my title. My dilemma is more of a compulsive thing on my behalf, as I see this as an opportunity to experience the early game as a solo survivor this time around, while the game is still relatively fresh.
My wife and I started playing a couple of weeks ago, and while I've gotten incredibly immersed, my wife has sadly lost interest and jumped ship. Most of what I had laid the groundwork for was meant for the two of us, and without meaning to be dramatic, I'd rather just start a new world from scratch if I'm going to be going alone in Valheim.
My dilemma, however, is whether I want to fire up an entirely new seed or use the one we were playing on. I've only sunk 30 hours into it, but I spent so much time hunting and gathering that I have a good chunk of the map and its biome borders memorized, and the field I had built in with the big oak tree felt like home. But re-rolling on the same map is also not very interesting until I get back to a point where I begin exploring outward.
Barring the option to just continue on my multiplayer save, what would you do in this situation? Cling to the little home world you remember fondly, or charge blindly into an entirely new one?
