I think one of the worst things about Tarkov that really hinders growth of the game and new players sticking around, is the time it takes to actually get into a raid.
Imagine you just spent 10 minutes in your inventory making a kit. Had to buy killa armor, find contacts and a helmet in your stash. Edit a preset to Make your meta HK; fill your 60 round mags with m855a1. Make sure you have spare ammo in container. Double check you have heals and nades, and you have the right keys for the map you will be playing.
Everything is good. You click on the map. Insure everything. Ready up. Then spend 5-7 minutes loading into the game….Only to spawn in 2 minutes late, take 5 steps forward, and get domed in the back of the head losing your 1 mil kit.
Dying and losing shit is what makes Tarkov stressful yet rewarding. That’s not the problem. It’s the fact that now I have to spend another 10-15 min in a pissed off mood to just get into another game. I have quit playing for the day many times for this reason alone.
I don’t know what the solution is. Preset classes will go along way. But somehow having a death screen that asks if you want to “find new raid with load out 1” vs “go back to hideout” could save so much more time and energy. Getting back into a raid as quick as possible will help to leave my saltiness behind.
Idk if that’s viable or if I’m the only one who thinks this way. Thoughts?
