Something I've been considering for a while. Late game tends to turn into just farming whichever loot routes have the best chance of giving you high-value items. RMT is in high demand. People complain about the Flea because it lets you get gear pretty easily with little effort. What if that was different?
I think the biggest change would be making the Flea Market exclusively barter-focused. FIR items for FIR items. We've already seen that kind of happen with the high-tier keys, but what if it applied to everything? No more looting a bunch of bolts and nuts for a few hundred grand from Hideout maniacs. Lots more decisions about what you want now instead of stacking that money high. More importantly, it means you wouldn't be able to just use rubles to bruteforce progression. That cuts down the appeal of the majority of RMT. Sure, carries would still exist, but the idiots who buy rubles every wipe to run gear and fuel those cheaters would be in a much tougher position.
And then, traders. I don't think this is as much of an issue, but just more barter options in general would be nice. Get some use for items like the hand drill that are picked up pretty much once by standard players every wipe and never again. More mags at lower levels as barters so you could actually use stuff like the G28 earlier on if you find it instead of vendoring it, but with more difficulty.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
