Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen, but everyone is repeating the same theories: Revenant stabbing and killing Forge, or Revenant injuring Forge so he has to come back in the second part of the season. But hold on…
Forge is a world class MMA fighter. A brutal physical fighter. I don't think he'll just get wrecked by Revenant without a fight. It'd be the polar opposite of everything we know and what Respawn has told us about Forge.
So what if, Revenant tries to stab him, but he blocks him and they have a huge fight, either leading to Revanant retreating (but staying in the apex world, meaning he's joined the arena/games) or they just stop the trailer with them facing off, meaning they're both in the games now?
No one says one of them HAS to die, or be injured and come back later. They may just have a fight, showcasing their abilities, or they have a face off like I mentioned, leading to us having to duke it out in the arena. Of course it's all speculation. But I thought I'd give a different view on what could happen!
