Wouldn’t it be cool if there were multiple options for character ultimates? I understand that each ultimate plays a defining role in a character’s lore and utility, but what if there was a way to improve the diversity of a character’s kit? I’m talking about a different version of the same ultimate or a completely different ultimate, just worked in to fit the character.
For example: instead of Octane’s jump pad you could select a different ultimate before a match that would give him, say, a STIM overcharge that either boosts the strength of his tactical or gives him a temporary speed boost that is faster and has a higher duration than his tactical.
Another example would be with lifeline. You could choose between the care package or the ability to deploy doc to revive down teammates so you don’t have to stop fighting.
Maybe there could be an option to de-select a character’s ultimate in exchange for an upgraded version of their tactical, however that might improve their specific ability.
There are so many options if the developers were to consider this. I feel like it would give the players more interesting combinations and would make for very exciting plays. Let me know what you think or what options you would add to any character’s ultimate list!
