Now, before this season started it's not like APEX was exactly booming in popularity. In fact, its been a downward spiral since launch essentially.
But it seems like this season, more than any others… That the popularity has all but dropped off. Don't get me wrong, it's got it's players. But there's no pro scene to speak of, streamers have all but abandoned it.. even the dedicated ones who stayed longer than the rest.
It feels like Respawn has a mountain to climb to bring back SOME kind of spark to the game. Between this season dragging on endlessly, and all the debate over SBMM — with many people leaving the game because of it. It seems like season 4 needs to be absolutely lights out in terms of content/updates.
With as long as this season is, season 4 needs to be massive. If it's anything less than 2 new legends, and at minimum the addition of Kings Canyon back AND at least duos. It will be looked at as a huge flounder.
