As a Mirage main who has spent countless hours with 10k+ kills and 13k rp using Mirage, this change looks completely balanced. What I find weird about Mirage's decoys is that they are not controlled by the inputs of your character. The problem with the way decoys are right now is that whichever velocity and direction my character is at, they just copy it, rather than what the player is actually doing. This leads to problems such as requiring Mirage to move, and when taking Octane's jump pad, all the decoys jump with you!
By making the decoys copy a player's input rather than movement, the decoys will look much more convincing and solve the jump pad bug; it will even give some pretty good buffs that are not OP at all. For example, by copying inputs, the real Mirage can face a wall and continue to press movement keys to move the decoys. Another buff it can give is that it can allow the decoys to take ziplines and possibly interact with doors! Do a fake finisher as a decoy? Or even allow them to take portals to completely fool teams!
The possibilities of Mirage is endless, and as a guy who is at 13k RP with Mirage, I really hope they just give him a slight buff that will not negatively affect the game.
