To preface this I did enjoy the cinematic for entertainment but I was left with so many questions:
What is "Beast of the Hunt"? They appear to harness the power of a God but there is no mention of this God in the cinematic. Possibly it is technology?
He is "The Hunter the Gods have sent". From the cinematic they used technology and the assets of said technology every time to kill the beast. There was no divine intervention from a God within their culture. They imply it with the constant reference to the crow but it is not built upon.
The sonar they use is a utility on their wrist within the game, it is never used in the cinematic. Clearly it is technology which their culture would not have incorporated, at a stretch I can see Bloodhound bringing about a new way of thinking upon their ascension which allows it.
With the Voidwalker event I felt like it explained everything about the character, the tactical/ultimate and all the quips which to that point had been based around nothing.
As much as I did enjoy this recent lore reveal I was just left me with more questions which will likely now be left unknown.
As far as I can tell, Bloodhound inherited the community and forsook 'The Old Ways', implementing technology throughout their culture.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
