The following aren’t balance suggestions, but rather quality of life changes I’ve heard from others while playing the game, or thought of on my own, that could greatly improve the experience.
Seasonal Music: The assimilation music is currently at level 70 on the battle pass. New music can help distinguish the newest season from the older ones. Either the new season’s music should appear much earlier in the battle pass as an immediate unlock, or just be available for everyone to use right off the bat.
Universal Trackers: Save for a few badges, pretty much every tracker including wins, kills, and damage are exclusive to that character. This can make winning or playing a character that isn’t your main feel significantly less rewarding if it can’t go on your main’s banner. In a game with 12 really cool characters, you shouldn’t be punished for playing one of the other 11 ones.
Map Selection: After playing King’s Canyon season 1 for a bit, I’ve noticed how enjoyable it is playing on a different map. I like World’s Edge a lot better, but even then, having two maps to play on makes the game feel much more fresh. Maps should either rotate every day, or there should be a 50/50 system in place where the map is randomly selected. I understand the worries of people quitting when they get the map they don’t want, but it shouldn’t be a huge problem, especially if abandon penalties are made more harsh in pubs.
Crypto Profile: You have no idea how much it bugs me that every legend other than Crypto is facing to the right. Yet he still turns left. Please for my own sanity mirror his profile.
