I recently achieved the feat of obtaining the highest competitive rank in Apex Legends: Apex Predator. After doing so, I've unfortunately lost my motivation to play ranked. Many people who play this game longed for a competitive mode before the ranked mode came out, and the developers delivered. To my dismay, I now lack the drive to continue playing ranked mode because I feel like I have peaked, as there is nothing left to achieve from a competitive perspective. I have a suggestion for the game developers to consider for next season's ranked mode to ensure that this lack of motivation is mitigated across the player base:

Implement a Top 500 leader board similar to the way Overwatch approaches the competitive mode.

In Overwatch, Top 500 is simply a global leader board which displays the top 500 players' Skill Rating totals on their respective platform. Many players that I have spoken to at my skill level unanimously agree that they also feel as if there is no longer a point in playing ranked once they achieved the highest rank, as there is no motivation to keep going. Although this only covers a small percentage of players due to the high skill level required to reach the highest ranks, I think it would be a fantastic feature to add a global leader board to be looked at in game to compare yourself to the top talent on your respective platform; whether that be Xbox One, PC, or PS4.

This new ranked feature does not have to be added to the game in the exact same manner Overwatch does it, but I feel like it would be a great thing to add. Whether it be Top 100, 200, or even 250, I believe that this would effectively reduce the rate of players losing motivation to play this game once they've reached the highest level.
