If an assist gives the exact same amount of points as a kill, we should get some damn points for picking people up and respawning them back into the game.
Sure I suppose you *could" cheese the system by knocking yourself with a grenade and letting your teammate pick you up, but I have two solutions to that.
If you knock yourself with a grenade, your teammate doesn't get RP for picking you up. Of course this means people will miss out on RP in some occasions, but getting downed by your own grenade shouldn't happen that often.
If you go down to your own grenade and no enemy's are within 100m, your teammate receives no RP
There's no good reason that the ultimate act of support is worth zero ranked points.
Edit: to expand my idea and fix a few spelling errors,
if you pick up the banner or use the beacon, you get ten points, same survival multiplier as kills get.
And if you pick someone up, ten points as well. Since assists are just as good as kills, revives are as good as respawns.
