Look, the new map isn't perfect. A lot of the rotations feel kinda clunky and loot distribution feels weak but once loot distribution is fixed and Charge Rifle is nerfed, the game will feel so much better just from those 2 changes.
Up until a few days ago I didn't even want a map but after grinding at the end of S2, I realized that after 600 hours, I was really fucking bored of the map.
Basic cons of the new map:
– Loot distribution is wack (don't know how they didn't pick up on this during testing honestly)
– Rotations feel a bit weird though there are some really nice routes I've found.
– Not enough movement mechanics (balloons, geysers) for how large the map is (this is something they could literally add in a normal patch)
– There's way too much highground. There are a lot of like "trenches" that you reeeeally don't wanna find yourself having to fight from.
There are so many things that could be fixed within the next month that half of you are completely disregarding. The map is very fixable.
Maybe some new players or people with a couple hundred hours or less would rather be on KC, but personally, this map is gorgeous and I hope they make the improvements necessary for it to shine.
Just try and be at least constructive rather than flat out negative. EA has spent a lot on generating hype for the game and the devs do seem to be working hard and trying to innovate. Balance has been a lot better recently as well.
