Okay. As per my previous posts on this I have thought of a much simpler change than one similar to War Thunder's customisation system, that WG should definitely introduce and one that should be very easy to implement.
Right now we are grinding battlepass camouflage elements for different vehicles that come in stages.
Some people (myself included) absolutely hate the over the top nature a lot of these 3D styles entail: TVP mine sweepers (other than that amazing looking skin imo), E3s goddamn hideous mantlet cover, Skidoo on the back of a 705a, and now the goddamn Badger that they had a great skin in the works for (mordred) and then made the dump that is Lancelot with the awful winches and 'gatoresque' vehicle on the back…
Most of these skins look so out of place on most maps and take away from the feel.
Anyway, mini rant aside, WG should allow us to unlock each tier via grind or paying afterwards, and then allow you to CHOOSE the parts YOU want displayed on the tank. That way they don't lose out on any potential profit as you have to unlock the tier required to display some items, but equally you aren't all lumped into either using a skin with elements you don't like or not using it all which in my case leans more towards the latter.
WG then don't have to code much as all the elements are already present it's just the order, and as wot models don't incorporate skin elements into hitboxes it doesn't affect anything there either.
I'd be more than happy to even pay a little extra for a skin if I could choose elements of it and make it my own.
What are the rest of the communities thoughts on this?
