So I am by no means a good player, I'd say I'm almost decent. Wn8 hovers around 500, and I only have like 1.5k battles, but I'm starting to figure some stuff out so I thought I'd share since I see plenty of posts about credits.
These should go without saying: Don't fire gold rounds, premium account and tanks if you can.
My first tip is patience. This is much more of a strategy game than a shooter, and I've never had a YOLO game net me any credits. The longer you're alive, the more you can contribute to your team and your credit payout.
Second tip: Use small consumables except for the auto fire extinguisher; there's a mod that helps with repairs in Aslain's modpack. This has been my second biggest savings, not firing gold being the first.
Third tip: Use the 6th sense directive if your commander doesn't have it trained. This seems counter-intuitive at first, but knowing when you're spotted is huge. It's the difference of peeking a corner and getting tracked and stunned (blowing your consumables in the process) or repositioning/waiting for backup.
Just some stuff that helped me not be constantly broke. Hope it helps a fellow tanker c:
