So some of you think that this tank is op af and some of you think its a piece of trash.. I'd like to add to that with my current experience. To start with,
Is the tank trash ? No, absolutely not.
Is it op ? Kinda yes, its a all cards open frontal hull-down behemoth (even better than tech tree variant with that "lower,lower plate" that has the same thickness as the mayo layer ona mcdonalds burger).
Normally going with the stats the tank seems reasonably good but what it makes it op is the current meta of the game being hulldown, no cross-fireable, 1 on 1 fights and this is the only thing that this tank excels at…
So my current experience was pretty salty against those tanks bc me grinding amx 65t (which was half-buffed fck wg on that part) and had to go against them bc i was the "heavy" on the team.. i had nothing to do againts them my armor doesnt work, my gun doent do shit, and since its too slim i cant overmatch the roof, so all i could do was to TRY to hold them off until my team finishes other flanks or some one flanks them to have a cross fire angle. And like i saw some of you say on this sub-reddit "Ah yOu JuSt H4vE tO FlaNk HiM" the problem is vipera knows that their allies next to them knows that so him and his allies wont let anyone near the vipera to get cross fired or will push with him to squash me like a 50 ton metal bug…
The tank is OP because of how well it suits to the current meta (you could say that other tanks do what it does but this is a prem tank that wont be nerfed), like imagine a scene with me; We are at mines 2 teams of similae skilled players are contesting for the hill since both of their lights have died on the hill and its now empty both sides have same tanks except one has a vipera instead of one of their heavies, vipera's side will win bc of he knows that only thing that might contest him rn it the thicc gunned td's and strv s1 other that that no one can do shit since its roof is well hided to enemy heaviest and the lower plate is out of question bc of how easy to hide it is, so all he has to do is count the shots of enemy tds and poke according to that and he can even take risky shots since strv has pen but fires apcr so shots can bounce or other td's can miss with %25 rng (The isu will miss with that ship cannon like gun) that allows dodge viper to have a influence on the battlefield that no other tank has which is what makes it op. which is also the case for the tech tree variants but they can be nerfed but Dodge Viper being a premium we know that it wont get nerfs as long as its now causing too much trouble.
Conclusion; The tank is op given the current meta and map structure of the game allows it to do so..
Solution; The only solutions i could think of is to counter that tank is;
•Having a thicc enough gun or high pen rounds to go through its turret.
•Having a other vipera to have him on their equally "Balanced" fight and hope either yours win or cause enough damage to him so that they would back off a little…
•Or hoping that he is dumb enough to let him get flanked for free.
Would love to hear your opinion on this and your takes on the solution part.
