So yeah, you've probably seen yourself: For some reason Wargaming put the Progetto and the Defender into the shop twice within 6 months.
Today, I was pretty determined about buying the Defender, until I saw the Progetto was on sale as well.
I know both tanks are very good, so I'm just gonna present my situation. I'll give you my thoughts on these two tanks, by presenting arguments against the tanks.
Some might tell me to not give Wargaming any money, which I completely respect. Regardless, even if I don't buy any of the two, I know which one to go for the next time.
Reasons NOT to buy Progetto:
– I don't have a Tier 8 Premium Heavy
– I already have a Tier 8 Premium Medium
– I have the Pantera already, the Progetto is just less mobile but with higher DPM
– I'm not confident in playing Tier 8, making a tank that can bounce 420 HEAT from Jagdpizza useful
– I want to go towards the double-barrels, but I also want to experience the full russian troll-armor
– The Defender comes with a camo that fits the game
– I'm not completely confident with using my clip properly
Reasons NOT to buy Defender:
– The Defender is your typical russian shotgun: inaccurate, long reload, slow
– I don't have an italian premium
– I mostly play mediums anyway
– I never had a typical heavy with a typical heavy-playstyle (could be an argument for both sides)
– I have a Churchill III for a russian heavy crew already
– I've never seen a Defender in clan battles
– The Defender might be too slow for the current meta
There are probably even more arguments, but I don't wanna spend 40 minutes every time I write a reddit post. So yeah…
