I hate how gold ammo has no downside to it. WG should really consider making changes to it. My ideas are:
Decrease the damage premium ammo does. I know a lot of you have thought and most likely put this idea in the thread before. I just don’t understand why WG can just do that. Yes it does decrease dpm on the tank, but now that gives each player a chance to strategically change positioning, and that’s the penalty you should receive for pushing the “2” key twice anyways. There was a test server a few years ago about them doing something like this and I agreed with most of those changes. But of course WG scrapped that idea.
Give HE/HEAT/HESH rounds the ability to damage modules easier. This would be great especially if we applied reason #1 (above) along with this. HE stands for High-Explosive, so why not give those shells more flexibility. This would also be a great change if they revert the HE mechanics back to before they changed it. It’ll make tanks like the KV-2 and the 183mm TD’s more flexible and helpful for your team, not to mention them becoming a lot more fun.
Add weakspots to almost every heavily-armored tank. It’s not that hard WG, just add an extra hit box to a lot of tanks so that newer players can learn where to strategically shoot a tank instead of loading gold rounds.
Remove the stun mechanic. This has nothing to do with the rest of the post, the stun mechanic is just annoying lol.
But anything you guys would want to add/remove from these ideas? I’m already expecting WG to listen to none of these ideas since they’ve probably seen these reasons already. I just want to save this game 🙁
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
