Played pretty intense for a couple months last year, got upset with the game thinking it was rigged and quit for almost a year.
After some feedback here and playing for more damage vs. being the hero, game might not be as rigged as I thought, but I still have my doubts about how it places you in battles via MM.
About 4500 battles, took me 3 weeks after I started playing again to increase my lot in life from 48.58% to 48.75% in about three weeks. Life was grand… Dreams of 49% and true mediocrity in my sights. Now after about 3-4 days, I'm back to 48.58%. And yes I took plenty of breaks when loss streaks developed, buts its more like I win 2 out of 5 or 6. Repeat. and non stop over those 3-4 days. 60 battles and I'm winning 23 for example.
Man I am pissed. I have to really wonder about MM. If I was to make a theory, the game has some cutoff where it decides you have reached your station in life concerning win rate. It then manipulates your MM to bounce you around that number in an attempt to spur the highs and lows of life and hope you spend more money. Perhaps to continue a winning streak or stop a losing streak. If it was really advanced, it would have heuristics to figure out what pattern drives the most money out of you and then repeat it.
My other theory, it may also manipulate a RNG modifier and apply to you for the entire battle. Because it seems when things go south, its just everything. Accuracy, penning and being penned.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
