I played like 30 matches on the Sandbox on all tiers, going to play more.
So far I like most changes, Lowtiers have improved A LOT. New players won´t get oneclip´d/oneshot so much anymore and get punished/sealclubbed less. (pz. 1C, m2light, Hetzer,…)
HP changes seem allright, I like the Ap Ammo and "special ammo/goldround/premium ammo" changes. Special Ammo in many cases is a bit expensive though.
WG has to get Module Damage right though. I´ve seen so many Tanks burn, explode or getting tracked by small peeshooters its ridiculous. That´s easily fixable though.
Now to the HE changes the big elefant in the room.
Problems with HE on the live-Servers:
I understand that HE was getting problematic on hightiers. Tanks like the Chieftain, Superconqueror, IS-7 (hulldown) and many others were getting bombarded with HE-Shells mostly +122mm. Games got very stale, resulting in boring campfests decided by single players in OP positions, highriskspotadvances or arty bombardement, very good example are hightier matches on Airfield.
I get that WG is trying to make heavys more able to "push" and encourage active gameplay. I understand that slinging HE at enemys doesn´t require much skill and can be frustrating if the receiver has a clear advantage but can´t really use it because of a stalled out situation, HE reinforcing that problem.
Problems I see on the Sandbox:
Paper Tanks getting a huge indirect buff in survivability : German Grille line, Scorpion G, Scorpion, Hellcat, Superhellcat, french light tanks & wheeled light tanks and many others not named here. Especially the Scorpion G, allready being very strong on the lifeservers despite its paper armor, might get out of control if the changes go live like this. Sure, AP Ammo has the damage of the old HE in many cases, but HP got increased across the board resulting in a huge buff to papertanks.
HE/Derpguns on HE-designed tanks: As of now tanks like the japanese heavy line, Sherman Derp, Pz IV (H) Derp, Hetzer/M40/Sau40 Derp and many others received a massive nerf though the changes.
I got 3 solutions here:
Solution 1: Don´t overnerf HE that hard, a cut to 2/3 or 3/5 of the lifeserver values across the board are enough for a start.
Solution 2: Give tanks that only have HE options on certain guns, much better reloading times.
Example: Type 4/5 Heavy: 15cm gun double ROF from 2.84 to 5.68/3.66 to 7.32
Solution 3: Give the tanks with Derpguns a similar new AP round with Damage equal or a bit higher(adjusted to new HP values) to the former HE rounds.
Examples: M4A1 Sherman 105mm gun: New 400-500 dmg 53(possibly higher) Pen AP round
Type 4/5 Heavy 1100(1400 Dmg) AP round with 75(possibly higher)Pen
This way the tanks affected still have the situational option of high Damage against weakspots.
All in all I don´t mind an the implementation of the current Sandbox to the live servers, as long as Paper Tanks and Derpguns get adjusted afterwards.
I am a bit sad about some tanks getting ninjabuffed while some others in need didn´t get anything or worse:
T54E1 got changed from medium to heavy (extreme gunstats buff, camonerf?)
Chinese medium tanks unchanged – (will suffer bigtime due to special ammo nerf and worse camo than Obj.430U line) maybe thats what it needs for WG to finally adress them
SU-100Y with useless special HE – most likely a blindspot of the devs.

How the changes affect British Tanks and their loss of Hesh-Rounds, while receiving less damage from special rounds remains to be seen. I hope they get proper Heat/APCR special Rounds insted at least.
