Hello all,
I've been lurking here for the past year while attempting to learn the game. I'm still a sub 50% tomato, but I feel like I've improved a lot at least in terms of knowledge.
The thing that surprises me is how little content there is that teaches players specific topics. 99% of the videos are just gameplay, sometimes several matches that try to string a cohesive thought, but rarely geared at being a tutorial.
For instance, I was trying to find some good spots to rush to as a Bobject on Fjords. I didn't find any gameplay video with this specific tank on this specific map, at least none with commentary. Even if there is, I would have to watch a metric ton of VODs just to find that one specific game.
I asked some streamers why they don't make a video series with detailed guides instead of releasing more gameplay videos and they said that they won't get any views on those and the community is simply not interested. Are they right?
I for one would devour detailed guides like this. Something like a deep dive of each popular tier X for each map/side, anything that would make tomatoes get a hang of things. I know true mastery comes when a players develops intuition, but I feel like guides are important at the start, especially in a skill-intensive PvP game like WoT.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
