My E75 Three Mark Experience

3MOE Battle

Personal Experience:
The E75 is a boring brick of a tank – Highly rewarding for standard play, doesn't need much nuance beyond a little armor angling. The strengths of good armor + high HP, acceptable gun depression and 530 alpha is an unremarkable if effective setup. Even the negatives are more nuances to be aware of, rather than major pitfalls.

The three most memorable aspects of this experience were;

Bad mobility: If we're on the weak flank we die. If we recognize the need to flex out, we are still probably going to die. If we need to cross from spawn to the center hill on Glacier, we're going to need a turbocharger so we hopefully don't die. The poor mobility is most noticeable on maps where the initial cross isn't safe, dropping improved hardening for turbocharger with the alternative loadout can be a deciding factor if we even participate in the battle or earn the privilege of an early trip back to the garage. Most of the time the "close enough" to 40 kmh is bearable. But don't ever depend on mobility to save our tank in a tight situation.

Terrible turret traverse: At 18.04 °/sec it takes an eternity to react to new threats or changes in the tactical situation. More often than not, we have to rotate our hull to move our reticle along a little faster. Just don't expect the rotation speed to be much faster than the M10 Wolverine and we won't be disappointed.

Diamond turret shape: Yes, the overall armor package and high HP is a strong point. There's no dispute that proper angling can almost double our effective HP pool to 4,500~ for a typical battle. But, take care not to undo our good armor by flattening the impact angle on one of the turret sides. While wiggling to protect shots against the cupola, it's fairly easy to overrotate just a little too much and give the enemy an easy shot.

With this in mind, standard play is where the E75 shines; Play aggressively but don't overextend. Make bold pokes, but don't sit in front of tank destroyer guns unnecessarily. Invest your HP in making a play, but don't treat your chassis like it will stand up to everything forever. Abide by these principles and the E75 will be a reliable warhorse.

Field modification choices – L/L/R/L, Mobility

  1. All-terrain suspension – Improved terrain resistances
  2. Parallax Adjustment – Improved final accuracy is worth trading aim time
  3. Periscope Electric Drive – Extra view range
  4. Power output tuning (Setup 1) – Either choice is valid, I prefer extra reverse speed
  5. Second equipment specialization – Mobility
