Got it for bonds a while ago. Supposedly the T26E5 is a really strong tier 8 premium, but I have an absolutely horrible time playing it. DPG of about 1000, 40 percent winrate, etc.
This is weird because I'm otherwise not a bad player. My recent winrate is 55 percent over the past 1k battles (would be higher without all those T26E5 games lol) and I do great in other non-preferential tier 8s and high tier play in general. Over hundreds of battles I'm consistently averaging 1500-1700 dpg in the lansen, emil 1951, TS-5, mutz, etc. With generally 55-65 percent winrate in those other tanks.
Is it the matchmaking or am I not playing it right? It's basically meant to be played as a medium, is it not? Try to get hull down and abuse the turret armor and gun depression, no? There's no obvious weaknesses to the tank besides the alpha and mobility, but I just can't seem to get damage in without getting murdered. Are there any tricks to this tank I'm maybe missing?
