Ranked – Years Later, Still a Failure of Design

Ranked, ranked ranked. Where do you even begin?

This is the only team based ranked mode where playing for your team is not just a suboptimal way, but it's objectively stupid.

The only way to progress reliably is to farm as much damage as you can, sacrificing your teammates for your own gain as that way, you're guaranteed never to lose a chevron and you'll often even gain one despite losing, while those who tried to actually win the game are punished.

Make the winning play for your team that doesn't involve dealing direct damage or huge amounts of spotting? No chevron for you, despite literally being the one who won the game.

I cannot imagine how a designer can "design" an activity like this in a supposedly team based game and still remain on payroll.

Anyway, on track to have enough to get the Concept 1B at the end of the turd (very sophisticated pun intended), season of this year's derp mode.
