Vipera seems OP cause you can't penetrate it. But it's not as dangerous in many situations you meet it.
In most situations you meet Vipera it won't eat you alive. You must get permatracked at close range to fear this tank. Just keep some distance and you will be okay.
I couldn't return fire to a lot of targets i would be able to do so with my other 2 reliable heavies 703 and T-56.
T-56 has better gun handling and much more OP burst than VIPERA. 703 has almost as good armor but with reliable gun handling.
Vipera has situational dominance. Once you get in hulldown where enemies can't push you do to terrain or just danger of committing to pushing then you can literally lock down and eat whole flank by yourself with some ally support preventing flanking. This well hasn't happened that often.
What usually happens to me is this.
I go into a heavy flank. I am forced to go in close cause my gun handling is shit. When i am close my weakspots are easier to hit and i am much more flankable and prone to getting all inned on reload.
I try to have 1 target in front of me cause it's how armor works. Any 2+ targets which are 30 degress apart are a threat. Enemies MUST be in front of me or i lose HP. This is somewhat true with 703 but you have larger ability to bounce side shoots.
I hit 3 or 4 shells in clip and miss 1-2. I am either already dead cause enemies commited on me or i go on reload by now.
I am sitting on damage and battle has progressed. Now second assault it seems we are winning and i must chase damage.
Oh noooo. I am too slow and every spotted tank gets farmed by faster and tanks with better gun handling.
Well you just ended battle with 3 hits only.
Only when battles get really long and where you are "allowed" to be in such hulldown and enemies are in front. Only then you can really have those god games. I had few.
But guess what? Other tanks can do the same. I was not impressed overall by this tank.
It has many drawbacks people don't see. Yeah i get 2000 blocked damage on average.
Some tanks avoid taking damage by having range and camo.
Some tanks avoid taking damage by flanking.
Some tanks avoid taking damage by having good guns and this way they lower exposure time.
Some tanks avoid taking damage by having armor.
Usually it's combination of all of this things.
But Vipera only has frontal armor. Let's all scream OP OP OP.
That's how Vipera works. I must aim for ages, you must be in front and allow me to aim at you and you must be stupid enough to shoot at me. I usually don't shoot first cause i must aim for ages. Well i bounced good for me cause that's only thing my tank can do.
While there are heavies which have almost as good armor, better gun handling and mobility at same time.
This tank is totally different from any tank i have in my roster. It gave me new experience but it's not OP by any means.
