Hi everyone,
I've got a peculiar dilemma and I was hoping you guys could provide some insight. I have played both WOT PC (around 300 hrs) as well as WOTB (around 500 hrs) and I think they're both great.
I realize this is an unpopular opinion and I'm probably going to receive a lot of hate for it, but I believe WOTB is better than WOT PC.
Firstly, it's more fun. The maps are smaller and you encounter the enemy much faster. There battles are quicker, faster paced and there's never a dull moment, whereas there are cases in WOT PC where some maps are so big that, if you are playing in a slower vehicle, such as a heavy tank or a tank destroyer, there's a good chance you won't even be able to spot a single enemy and the battle will end before you even get the chance to fire a shot.
Secondly, WOTB is simpler and a lot more accessible to beginners. Its core mechanics are less complex and easy to understand. Everything is simplified, and not in a bad way. I want to be able to pick up a new game, see what it has to offer and learn its mechanics, then be able to play it whenever I want and not have to watch complicated Youtube tutorials or in-depth guides just to understand how a certain perk works or how to train your crew. Don't get me wrong, I'm just a casual gamer. While WOT PC is fun, it's too complicated for me.
Thirdly, WOTB doesn't have any of the controversial tank categories in WOT PC, such as artilery or wheeled vehicles, which have long divided the community and caused plenty of arguments.
Conversely, WOT PC is a lot better than WOTB aesthetically. Even though I've tried every single modpack possible to make WOTB look and sound as good as WOT PC, that's just impossible. I think that WOT PC is absolutely gorgeous in every aspect – the graphics, the UI, the visual effects, the sound design, the crew voices, the physics, everything down to the last detail.
So this is my dilemma. I like to say to myself that I prefer gameplay over graphics, but after playing a game with bad graphics for a while, it starts to get boring. I would like to play a tank game that combines the fast-paced gameplay and simple mechanics of WOTB with the amazing graphics and cannon sounds of WOT PC. Have any of you been in the same situation such as myself? Is there even such a game like the one I am describing?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Have a nice day!
