2022 Wish List!! = NPC’s + Optimization/No Lag + More!

1My #1/TOP most desired thing! = Placing NPC's (friendly Vikings/villagers etc.,) in our bases would add so much life to the game!

—- Like many of you, I thoroughly enjoy solo building howevever, the builds feel lifeless. The presence of NPC's will bring the builds to life! If the NPC's could:

  • perform tasks, (a smith working the forge, cutting wood, tend to the garden, drinking/eating, tending to the fermenter, cooking, etc.)
  • Mini Quests!! Have these NPC give the player tasks to do! (get incentives)
  • dialogue with the player,
  • join you on your Boat/Missions/Raids,
  • walk around your base (rather than standing in a single spot), etc……, that would also be great!

2- Optimize the game so we can have multiple people on a server in a large build without experiencing tremendous lag and terrible frames (like Minecraft for example). If the game isn't optimized I'm afriad that adding NPC's would just make the game lag even more than it already does when inside a large build.

  • Valheim can be a fun solo game but it is also great fun when you play with friends!

  • That experience isn't nearly as fun when your game is stuttering and not running smoothly (even when your system and the settings are configured properly with good hardware and network connection)

3Ashlands + Mistlands

  • New bosses
  • Monsters
  • Materials
  • Recipes (weapons, armor, building pieces, crafting upgrades, etc)
  • As it stands, there isn't really a need to defeat the final boss as you don't unlock numerous recipes like you do upon killing Moder. Give us reasons to go after these new Bosses and Monsters with incentives listed above. Without incentives you're just killing the bosses for the sake of saying you killed them to get the trophy.

4Enemy Viking Villages! + New base attack event

  • Active, unique, NPC Viking villages that you can raid (or be raided by! Defend your base your under attack from a raiding party!)
  • Larger and more difficult than the Draugr villages you come across
  • Rewards for a successful raid! (You gain a frienfly NPC Viking/Villager, gold, recipes, special weapons, armor, map to special/secret location, flags/trophy, new portal location)
  • Lose a raid? = Lose a fellow NPC Viking and lose some materials you've stored up, physical damage to be repaired

(DEVELOPERS! I hope you read this and make it happen!!)

Valheim has been amazing this year with the addition of recipes so want to thank the Devs/the team at Irongate. Keep rolling out the content!
