Factory Extract Speedruns – a relatively simple strategy

Like most of the people I play with, for some reason we get a lot of Factory extracts as dailies/weeklies. We have perfected a speedrun strat that almost anybody can do very easily from Peacekeeper 2 or whenever you've picked up any pistol with ammo that can reasonably comfortably pen class 3 armor (1911, USP, SR-1MP, 5-7 – I tend to avoid 9×18/9×18 as higher pen ammo is harder to come by).

The goal – become tagged/cursed for Night Factory. I run a pistol with a torch, 2 mags, ears and a Factory key. Factory key is optional but it speeds the process up. Pro tip: if you have Epsilon container, run a tank battery in it to make you automatically overweight. Each run will give you 2-5 points into strength training. It's not much but it will add up especially if you have 50 extracts to do (as I've gotten a few times for a weekly).

If you spawn by forklifts, you stay there. If you spawn by glass hallway or offices, you run to Gate 3. If you spawn near Gate 0, you stay there. If you spawn near the med tents in the closed off room, you run to med tents extract. Basically, the goal is to get to a spot you can right hand peek approaching scavs from while remaining mostly in cover. Within 10 seconds, you should hear 1-3 scavs running towards you. If you're at forklifts, they will usually come through the door by the stairs and can be shot through the door. Everywhere else, they will sprint straight at you but not aggro until they've seen you. Shooting the thorax is the most reliable way to aimpunch them before they can shoot at you, which is why we want higher pen ammo.

To avoid a run through, you must either kill 2 scavs or kill one scav + touch their body. Occasionally killing one scav and touching their body won't be enough – I tend to pick all the gear up and throw it back on the ground to make sure I've got enough experience. You will regularly get scav/security vests which are 20-30k each, I often get shotguns with torches which are 10-30k, I usually get a sugar every 5 runs or so (80-90k) and occasionally there are valuable keys in backpacks. With opportunistic looting, you can make 40-120k per run. From there, beeline straight to your nearest extract.

Total run time including loading in, the raid and getting back to the main screen can be under 3 minutes. Go to your character, dump all gear you need to, reload your mag and go again. It is a reliable way to make 800-2000 XP per run which isn't insane, but does add up if you have a crapload of extracts to do.

Notes: if you don't hear scavs charging at you in the first 30 seconds or so, congratulations – you're in a raid with somebody else who is tagged and cursed, or you have cultists in your raid. They can be fought but it's pretty tough to do with only a pistol.

It's not fun by any means, but will allow you to get through them as quick as possible.
