I've been working on this mod (called King's Skills) for a while now. It's a total skill overhaul mod that does a lot of awesome stuff, and hopefully makes just about any other skill mod obsolete (Jewelcrafting aside, obviously). Anyways, one of the most content heavy parts of the mod is a Perk System. When you level a skill past 30, 60, and 90, you get to choose between one of two powerful perks. Examples include a double jump perk for the jump skill, or the ability to throw your knives for reduced damage as a mid-level knife skill.
I managed to design all 120 or so perks for the base skills in the game, and got to working on them – but around implementing the 30th perk I was starting to realize this was going to take a really long time, working on my own. Not to mention the release of Mistlands including 4 new skills – or 24 new perks to be added, including the 4 new skill overhauls needed. The mod isn't fully bug tested, polished, or balanced yet either, which are the goals I'd like to focus on before I publish.
If anyone is interested in helping this big mod come to fruition and has even a little bit of experience programming, I'd be happy to personally walk you through all the steps required to set up your environment for modding. All you'd need to do is pick a perk from the list and figure out how to implement it. I'm also looking for feedback on balance and bugs, as well as ideas for how to improve the new skills and perks for them, if anyone has gotten a chance to play with them yet!
