Imagine if you could create Helper NPCs? After seeing the trailer for Sons of forest and remembering a lot of posts using greydwarfs as "bartenders", imagine you could "craft" friendly greydwarfs that could take instructions and do various tasks.
Im thinking it would take at least an elder trophy, stone, wood to craft a basic friendly greydwarf. Maybe add some refined eitr into the mix?
A basic greydwarf could come with same stats as a hostile one, but with 4 inventory slots and 2 equipment slots. You could instruct them to forage for stuff like mushrooms and berries. If you give them an axe they could chop trees. If you give them a pickaxe they could mine stones?
Maybe also to balance some stuff. They take damage if they hold anything metal? Like ores, bars, tools and weapons. They could also be hostile to anything that's hostile to players.
Im also thinking if you add extra boss trophies, they get extra abilities. E.g. adding eikthyr trophy they become a greyling and you can instruct them to explore an island, mark stuff on their own map and interact with cartography tables.
With bonemass trophy they could equip weapons like spears , shields and bows?
Idk yet for the remaining boss trophies, but maybe they could gain more complex tasks like planting, brewing, cooking, repairing damaged buildings, etc
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
